We are a small, independent, privately-owned practice located in Bedford, NH. All our clinicians live and work here in New Hampshire.
We are invested in this state because we live here, and because we care about our community and the people in it.
Our patients can count on a long-term relationship with Progressive Psychiatric Services.
Brianna Boulanger, PMH-NP
I am an ANCC-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I hold a master’s in nursing from the University of New Hampshire with a Clinical Nurse Leader certification, as well as a post-master’s certificate from Rivier University. My bachelor’s degree in neuroscience was earned at the University of New Hampshire.
I specialize in medication management for adults and adolescents ages 12 and older. Some of my special interests include childhood trauma, complex grief, depression, familial strife, chronic pain of unknown physical etiology, and generalized anxiety disorder.
I have a particular passion for teaching motivated patients new coping skills and adjusting harmful mindsets. I also treat insomnia, obsessive compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. My philosophy is focused heavily on mental resilience and building healthy habits. I seek to address not only current stressors, but how childhood experiences may have influenced present responses.
I have worked in various environments including involuntary, voluntary, and emergent psychiatric care as well as in a substance use program. I have experience with both adults and children, and I am especially interested in working with adolescents and young adults.
I seek to place the patient in the driver’s seat and to act as a partner in all aspects of mental health care, as patient preferences are of utmost importance to success. I see my relationship with patients as an ongoing partnership where we both keep their goals in the forefront and strive to return them to optimum functioning.
I view mental health care as a continuum of care as life is always evolving. I strongly believe in creating an alliance with other health care providers on the patient’s care team to support the best possible outcomes as well as to address comorbid conditions appropriately. I am a strong advocate for holistic options, and I support pet ownership as a form of therapy.
I am licensed in the state of New Hampshire to practice independently as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMH-NP) and licensed through the Drug Enforcement Agency.
Alysha Cutts, PMH-NP
Alysha is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner licensed to practice in the state of New Hampshire, and providing medication management only at this time. She has worked caring for the mental health population since 1996, and is a board-certified registered nurse for 8 years, specializing in mental health and addiction. As a psychiatric registered nurse, she has worked in different environments such as psychiatric home health care, in-patient psychiatric hospital, in-patient detox and residential facility, and methadone clinics. There is no judgment here.
I see our collaboration as a team effort; we will work together to get you living your best life. I can be a very helpful piece of your recovery, whether it’s from depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD or other issues, including addiction. Although my services are a tool in the psychiatric recovery tool box, there will likely be more than one tool needed to help build your foundation, and that is something we will talk about during our time together. This is a transformation that will happen over time-truly a journey-and I am here for it
