BOARD CERTIFIED PSYCHIATRIC MENTAL HEALTH NURSE PRACTITIONER

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner offering medication management for patients suffering from serious mental illness who seek a truly collaborative relationship with their provider.

I have experience working with many different mental health conditions, including Major Depression, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, PTSD, OCD, and Binge Eating Disorder. I also specialize in helping people slowly taper off their use of benzodiazepines.

Psychiatric medication management is quite personal; I rely on open communication from the patient to achieve best results. Often, we work together to reduce excess medication. My patients have told me that they feel safe, that they feel heard, and that they feel understood.

    PSYCHIATRIC MENTAL HEALTH NURSE PRACTITIONER

I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who has been in the healthcare profession for over 35 years. After developing a strong interest in behavioral healthcare, I pursued a career as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I worked as a psychiatric registered nurse in the inpatient setting treating patients with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, psychosis, anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, and sleep disorders. I am certified to assess and treat mental health diagnoses in children, adolescents, and adults.

Psychiatric evaluation and medication management go hand in hand and it is my goal to ensure that medications are effective and safe. This process includes monitoring, reconciling, and ensuring the desired outcome for each patient. I believe that each patient is unique. I am passionate about working together with patients and family to deliver evidence-based care, and to develop a treatment plan together, that will help ensure the best health outcome.
